I-88 West offers existing or expanding businesses a dynamic, team of regional economic development experts to help ensure the success of your business. Our partners include:
Greater Sterling Development Corporation (GSDC): The GSDC exists to expand the economic base of the city of Sterling and surrounding area to create job opportunities and enhance quality of life in the region. The GSDC is successful because it is empowered to help business and industry establish themselves strongly in the area.
Lee County Industrial Development Association (LCIDA): Working in partnership with the Dixon Area Chamber, the LCIDA assists existing business and industry in the region with retention programs, as well as recruiting and assisting the relocation of new businesses with an information-based approach for best practices decision-making.
Rock Falls Community Development Corporation (RFCDC): The RFCDC fosters economic growth, development and enhanced quality of life for new and existing businesses in the region by working closely with business, non-profit organizations, and regional governmental agencies.
Whiteside County Economic Development (WCED): WCED works to ensure the success of business and enterprise across nine communities and two counties: Sterling, Rock Falls, Morrison, Fulton, Lyndon, Prophetstown, Savanna, Thomson, Mt. Carroll and the rural areas of Whiteside and Carroll Counties. The WCED has certification designating the area as an enterprise zone through 2018.
